A&R Project Update
A&R is excited to be working in Urbana on the Illinois Street Residence Hall, the second largest dining hall in the nation! The project will involve approximately 316,300 square feet in renovation and new construction that will increase dining capacity, improve building efficiency and sustainability, and showcase a vibrant residential experience by the time it is completed. This two-phase project, which began in May of this year, will be in process through August of 2020.
A&R is using a new, non-intrusive, portable fall arrest system as part of our commitment to safety. The Switchrail Safety System has both counterweight and clamp attachment options that allow for installation on any project. Because they also care about labor and time-saving opportunities, they have also developed a tie-off system that provides fall arrest and/or restraint for a single person.
At A&R, community isn't a buzzword, it's a way of life. That's why we're excited to announce that one of our owners and board members, Scott Reichard, has been named as a trustee on the Carle Center for Philanthropy Board of Directors. Learn more about the Center and the Board here.
